Chapter one: Blood, pain, tears.

The Day was Young and crisp, the Morning sun brought forth the blooming chrysanthemums, and the sweet dew drop's that laid delicately upon the old leaves, of a great Weeping Willow. The birds were chirping almost silently as the owls began to nestle in the back of their homes, for day’s rest. This   particular morning, things seemed to be very quiet, for the animals of the forest were in worry, and mourning.  It was hunting season, the time of year when the forest had to be careful when it was time to fly.  A speedy blue humming bird perked on the branch of the weeping willow, a Yellow Fox with bright blue crystal eyes came from behind the leaves of the tree, and a red robin with jaded eyes sat atop the foxes head in wonder at the sight. The very peculiar deer laid beneath the willow tree, his eyes tightly closed, and his legs close to his body
. The creature’s fur color was black as night, and crimson streaks red as blush, down his legs, head, and back. The Deer had two antlers just as any normal buck would, but in the middle of his head was a red horn, and could be mistaken for a unicorn at a far distance, but even the forest creatures knew that unicorns did not exist anymore, or they were just hiding away.

The deer trembled in pain, sitting in his own pool of blood, and tears. The pain in his side was excruciating, he did not even want to look. This is where his life would end? At the Hands of greedy foolish Humans!! Who hunted a life form such as him for game or sport!? No! He would do no such thing. He had to get up. Get up and run as fast as he could, to some far off land where he could be in peace at least. The deer growled, struggling to push himself up on his hind legs, the pain stabbing his side like needles, he could feel his insides ripping apart, like fire being set a blaze all over his body. Everything hurt, and his heart and mind could not take this pain. The Deer collapsed onto his side, breathing harshly through his nose and mouth. AGAIN!! His mind screamed. Once again his trembling body tried to move, he started with his hind legs pushing himself up as slowly as possible, the pain stinging his eyes with tears that dropped to the ground with an eerie ting to the ears of the ones watching. Deer Collapsed to his side once more, and his mind screamed at him AGAIN!!   Once Again the Deer stood, his eyes trembling with the strain and he managed to push himself on all fours, but as he took one step forward he collapsed to the ground again, sending the blades deeper into his abdomen, letting out a loud moan into the air, haunting the sky, the tree’s, and the forest creatures that dove into their homes, and into the tall grass. He lay there thinking that this was it. His end would soon come. He had no energy left to move, except lay there and die. Humming bird would have none of this, with one swoop over Deer, he came to the two tailed fox and the red robin, telling them exactly what to do, in his own pattern of language they could understand. With a nod to their heads in understanding, Humming bird and Red Robin took to the skys, and the Yellow kitsune darted into the forest behind him in search of the one person they knew who could help.

Deep within the depth’s of the forest, was a young Pink hedgehog gripping a small wooden basket between her small finger’s, and singing a small tune that sang throughout the forest. Humming Bird knew this tune anywhere, he could hear it from miles on end, even high to the mountain’s. He tweeted to his friends, and they looked to him in response. They were quiet, but the atmosphere filled with sweet symphony’s that even deer could hear, relaxing his trembling legs and his breathing steadily. At the Same time the three animals darted in the direction of the tune coming from the source. Her singing stopped upon seeing her three friends in front of her, a bright smile dancing upon her lips, ‘’Oh Hello...’’ She giggled slightly. She became worried when her humming bird friend began to tweet irrationally, trying to tell her something. Robin did the same, the Fox only barked.

The girl held up her hand silencing them, and afterwards lowered her hood, that perfectly hid her golden crown and jewels from the sun. “Now Sonic, Tails, Knuckles…’’ She looked at them one by one as she said their names that she had given each of them. “Whats the matter...?’’ The three of them looked at each other as if to say ‘It’s best to show you.’ The Yellow Kitsune, Tails clenched the bottom of her cape between his teeth carefully and pulled her forward. She was hesitant at first but started to follow on her own, the Red Robin Knuckles, and the Blue speedy humming bird Sonic followed. They pulled her to the edge of the gaping forest that opened to a bright sweeping meadow that encased the ground with passion and beauty, following up to the tips of the weeping branches, of the old willow. The land seemed pleasant, and gorgeous to the sinners eyes, but there was a thick potent smell of blood that could make any angle plagued with a mourning sickness. She smelled it right away, that’s when the feeling swept over her that something was terribly wrong. Something was close to death, and the pain seemed brutal.

Tails pulled her within the branches of the tree, and released her cape from his mouth and pointed his muzzle to the deer below her, as Sonic and Knuckles perked to a branch. She gasped collapsing to her knees in absolute horror at the sight before her eye’s. She was lost for all words, she could just feel his pain being in his presence. She wasn’t just going to sit here and slowly wait for his life to end. She laid her hands gently to his side that sent a jolt through his spine, in reaction tensing to her touch in fear. He growled bending his neck to look over at the intruder he could not make out, if it hadn’t been for the blur in his vision. The dizzying air began to circulate his mind and lungs making it all that much harder to breathe. Yet he found the strength to move slightly, and kick his legs. “Please Stop!’’ She shouted which stopped his struggling and only looked at her with tired eye’s. She noticed the strange horn on his head, and pondered over it a moment, then turned her attention back to his wound. “I’m just going to help you…’’ She told him softly, through a faint sadness he could hear in the girls tone. The yellow kitsune nudged the side of the deer’s head, grabbing his attention for the moment and shook his head at him. The deer, puzzled decided just to lay down and except his fate. He purred soft cry’s into the grass and closing his eyes once more allowing the girl to continue. When she saw he was still she unhooked her cape revealing her white and red dress that said she wasn’t just any girl. This dress was too beautiful for any commoner around. Her jewels sparkled in the cascaded sunlight that shimmered through the weeping branches of the tree, sending out small fluttering sparkles into the atmosphere.

Once again she laid her hands to his side more gently this time, slowly tracing his fur with her fingers. Then she gripped the three blades with one hand sending a sudden shock to the deer making him tense, and whimper slightly. She had to do this quick and fast as possible. In her head she counted slowly to three, as if he had been doing the same. When she opened her eye’s she pulled the blades from his wound, sending a loud cry into the air, his leg’s trembling with this sudden feeling of release. It only hurt for the moment, then it was gone. Like a light it was gone. The only thing left he could feel was a numb tingling sensation in his stomach, and it was much better than before. He lowered his head again his breathes getting softer as his mind began to drift into an awaited sleep. The girl smiled in relief in her triumph and dropped the blades to the ground next to her. The wound was bleeding out, that was worse. She took her cape and slid it under his body tying it tightly around the wound providing pressure that would hopefully stop the bleeding for a while, until she could get him the proper care. She reached into her basket pulling out a small paper and pen, and began to write. When she was done she carefully rolled it up and tied it up in a small vine.

“Sonic.’’ She whispered softly, the blue humming bird flew from his perch to her shoulder and tweeted sweetly. She tied the small paper to the end of his leg, ‘’Now fly this to the palace and send for the Guards. Understood?’’ Sonic tweeted again and nuzzled her softly with the top of his head before flying up and out of the tree. She giggled watching him go then turned her attention back to the deer, and softly pet the back of his neck. “Don’t worry,’’ She smiled, ‘’Your going to be just fine.’’
